Whenever I do orders for refunding and such I usually just call off of my cell number with the caller ID hidden is this safe enough to avoid retailers from connecting it all to me or will they eventually be able to piece all the orders together even though my caller ID and number is hidden?

From a retailer's standpoint, It's safe enough but the same can't be said with records stored In the cell phone towers and the carrier.
