Claimed EB on an apple watch (apple store), the next day i recieved an email requesting pictures of the package but an hour later i recieved another email stating that my refund is in process. im a little bit confused, should i send the photos or not?

If I was you I'd just wait a few business days and see if the refund gets issued. If not then send them the photos.
