You can also try using Dna (you need to determine how delivery was done) or use Ftid to win exactly
Name the Item you wish to refund, and we'll work from there.

The partial method, Is always based on the weight of the Item.
If It's light enough to not register a weight on consignment, then yes, It will certainly have a high chance of success.

Does this mean that in case you try to refund something whose lack would mean a difference in the weight of the package the chances of success are low? I'm genuinely curious because I read basically on every forum that the partial method is also used by top refunders to refund shoes (and they're definitely not light enough). I was thinking about trying my first refund using this method but now I have doubts concerning what you said about the weight

It all depends on the company you're SEing and most Importantly, whether they open an Investigation with the carrier by cross-checking the consignment against their manifest.
For Instance, company-wise, they weigh all packages on dispatch. Carrier-wise, they record the weight and dimensions of every package at their depot. Now If an Investigation Is opened, they'll check the "dispatched weight" against the "received weight" and If they both match, the Item could not possibly be missing, hence the SE will fail.
In answer to your question pertaining to top refunders, they've either used a company such as "Nike" (who predominantly does not cross-reference details), or on the grounds that an Investigation was not opened by "thoroughly" checking the consignment as mentioned above.

Thanks a lot! I really wasn't expecting such a detailed answer. I have to admit I've been browsing all the SE threads in here just to look at your answers considering you seem to be extremely well informed. I guess I'll try to do a partial refund with Nike since you just confirmed they're easier to trick
