If It was not left at a safe place, how did It end up at the post office?

The postie felt like it “was not safe” to leave my package over the gate while i wasn’t home even tho the sender requested to leave it in a safe place, so he took it to the post office for me to collect

On collection, does Australia Post take a copy of your ID, or verify the details only by viewing It?

Yes, but do they take a copy and keep It on record, or only view It and hand you the package?

I believe not, they require a physical photo id then they take it with them into the back to look for your parcel, but they do not scan your id in the front area, however can not say the same for the back area.

If a copy of your ID Is not taken, you can DNA It - the package was mistakenly handed to the wrong person, and there's no evidence that the collection was marked off against your ID.

Is It just the shoes you're planning to SE?
