Reflections create a special type of illumination which shows a part of the object/logo on a shiny surface such as a floor.
Text reflections are simply amazing and a very important aspect of Designing.
Luckily , we have applications such as PS and C4D which helps in making reflections.

Today we will learn to create something like this:-

Lets start the tutorial....


Note: I won't be bragging about steps like - 'open photoshop' , 'click new' , 'select web' etc.....

Tutorial:

PS -> Photoshop [ For those new here ].

First things first. We need to create our text. So add a text layer and change the settings [ text , effects ] according
to your needs. The font does not matter but try to use legit clean fonts [ For the reflection to look better ] .
Now your PS screen should look like this:-

Now you need to duplicate your text layer. So select the text layer -> right click -> duplicate layer.
Now position your duplicated text layer to the bottom section of the original text layer.
Now it would look something like this:-

Now select the duplicated layer then Rasterize it [ By Right click -> Rasterize Type ]
Now go to Edit -> Transform -> Flip Vertically.
Now it would look like this:-

Now we have to add the reflection effect to the duplicated layer.
To do this-
Select the Rectangular Marquee Tool and select the bottom part of the duplicated text layer [ as shown below ]

Now right click on the selected area and select feather and set the feather radius to 20 and click ok.
Now press delete and now you should see the reflection.
You may press delete again in order to produce better reflection.
Finally you can change the opacity of the duplicated layer to 36 or so to make it look realistic.
Now you have created something like this:-
