Radio Hacker Interrupted Police Chase Gets 21 Months Prison #1
Greetings everyone,

This Is one of many reasons not to mess around with law enforcement agencies.

Quote:Australian authorities have tracked down, arrested, charged, and sentenced a man who hacked a police radio system and interrupted a police chase at the end of August 2017.

The man, identified as 42-year-old Vaughan William George, received a 21-month prison sentence, yesterday, at a Magistrates' Court in the town of Geelong.

The most notorious incident happened in August last year, when George interfered in a police chase, telling police officers to cancel the pursuit. Victoria Police have released a recording of George interrupting police radio communications during the chase, in which he can clearly be heard telling officers to "cancel the pursuit."

Funny that he is receiving less than 2 years, while the guy that tried to free someone from jail got 7. Not his first offense, either.

I have to say that he should have known that he was going to get caught. Simply a stupid idea to do something like this.

Depending on the nature of the pursuit, cancelling It could've had serious ramifications.

It's a shame the article didn't list exactly what was said by the offender.
