Question about my SE #1
In the process of SEing a monitor from a reputable brand, where I used my own (purchased) monitor's S/N. I have been going back and forth through livechat, until today where the presidential liason personnel contacted my number (burner) but I did not answer the call. They left a voicemail in regards of the situation, but did not state what they are trying get from me and that they will call again tomorrow.

My SE method was that the monitor suddenly stopped working and that it produced a terrible smell, which I had to remove from my home due to safety reasons (to not ship/ftid).

What do you guys think they are calling for?
Thank you

I was told that someone will reach out to me via email, because I had no type of response in regard to my case. It's been over a week too.
She also left an email right after the voicemail but did not mention what she wanted in both phone and email. I emailed her back saying that I do not know how to shut off the random caller number on my phone and that email would be better. Idk else what to do.

Last response from them was the chat said that someone will contact me, and that my case was being reviewed. It was escalated because I was not given a reply in a week.

Given they didn't discuss anything about your claim, It's Impossible to determine the Intention of the phone call.

Please reply after you've spoken with the presidential liaison representative.

This is what I got from their email:

Due to the unit being deposed of and our company not being able to diagnosis and inspect what the problem could have been for repair we are not able to exchange or refund the unit without it physically or without the model/serial# tag from the unit. What I can do for you is offer you a rebate @ 20% toward a new monitor not to exceed $500.

What should I reply with to persuade her?
The last part of "without the model/serial # tag from the unit" is confusing me because I sent POP along with a picture of the information of the monitor and it clearly shows the S/N.

Since they are offering “20% off a new monitor up to £500”, they have in my opinion accepted responsibility/liability. Based on this I would still pursue a full refund/replacement. Ask to escalate and formally complain. I would keep mentioning that you have already provided SN and POP. Keep pushing them and I believe you will get your desired result.

They've specifically stated the following details:
Quote:without it physically or without the model/serial# tag from the unit
The operative word Is "OR", meaning one or the other Is acceptable.

As such, the model/serial# tag will suffice their needs.

This is what I received today
In order for us to service the unit it would have to be at the home, for the unit to qualify for an alternate resolution we would have to have a photo of both the original proof of purchase and the model/serial# tag from the unit and the tag would have to be taken from the unit and mailed in with the paperwork sent from the return authorization dept.
Then they brought up the rebate offer that they want to give, and that she will be out of the office until next week.

Going to continue to escalate this because I was not told to do that ridiculous ass process (removing sticker and mailing it LMFAO). Also going to ask for a different person to get help from.
