Is a copy of your ID taken, or are the details only cross-checked to retrieve your package?

DNA wont work when you pick the parcel up from the Carrier - your ID will be requested and photocopied. At least this is how it is done where I am. However that doesn't mean your SE is dead. Your SE would involve a "return" now.

If that's the case and a "copy" of your ID Is not taken, the DNA Is good to go.

Your last name Is known to them (via the shipping label), hence It cannot be used to verify that It was you who picked up the package.
