Question about Cologne #1
So I just bought some cologne online from Macy's, I have an empty bottle of the same thing albeit a smaller size. I'm planning on using the "arrived broken" method, however if they ask for photos (which is likely), should i just smash my old bottle in the box of the new one? Anyone have any experience with Macy's to know how easy/hard they are?

Thank you!

Id say you'd be fine smashing your old one , remember to spray some sort of liquid to be the "cologne". Alternatively you could send them corrupted files over and over again.

Try not to complicate your SE.

How much does the cologne weigh? If It's extremely light that barely registers a weight on consignment, use the "missing Item" method.

Update:

Went really easily actually, contacted customer service via their live chat option. Told them the glass was broken in the box, so i didn't risk pulling it out/cutting myself. I was told to discard the package and I could get a replacement sent out but asked for a refund since "i needed it for an anniversary gift that night". Got my 5 oz cologne and all my money back!

It doesn't get any easier than this.

Some representatives (as In this case), simply take the customer's word for It, so the SE's complexity (or lack of) does depend on the nature of the rep. Good work.

Got to love getting either a very new rep or a very apathetic rep who are willing to basically just give you free things.
