Question Wrong item received #1
Hello guys!
I have a concerning question about the wrong item received method doable on Amazon. Would Amazon trace the account from where the "wrong item" was bought after they receive it to their warehouse and scan its barcode? If yes, would this be a problem of any kind?
Also, I am planning to apply this method for an iPad Pro 12.9`` 2021, which weights 682 grams. What item would be best suitable to claim it was wrongly received?

Thank you!

Yes, they probably will. It is best to use a different account which could not be traced back to your main one in any way.

I wonder what the consequences of this actually would be. Looking forward to mothered's response.
Everything I post here is fictional. Anything mentioned on my posts that corresponds to events happened in real life are coincidental.

I think the main idea is to use an account with a different identity and shipping address

Correct.

If I buy the wrong item on my main account, and buy the item I want to refund on a friend's account, would I get in trouble? Like how does my friend have my item? Thus, it would mean that the item we want to refund would have been sent to me, right?

Correct.

The shop can't just contact a random customer saying "oh, we sent you the wrong item, please send it back" so you'd be home safe keeping it, it's their fault for the mistake

There are many ways the wrong Item received method works, but I'll only explain just the one as follows.

Purchase the correct Item on your account, and buy the wrong Item on your friend's account and have It sent to his address. The company (seemingly) made an error and packed the wrong Item with your order, hence you received It Instead of your original purchase.

So did you find any "wrong" item suitable ? Also the weight you should considerate is the weight of the boxed-product with is packaging and everything (which is pretty different from the weight of the Ipad itself)
