[QUESTION] SEing clothing companies #1
So, does anyone have any experience with getting free clothes, shoes, watches, etc?

Looking to get myself some new kicks, and well, I don't want to pay if I can get them for free!

Companies I'm thinking of:
  • American Apparel
  • Nike
  • Osiris
  • Vans
  • Converse

Thoughts?

I've done a couple of fashion companies in the past, but never any brand like this.

For shoes, it would be rather simple to note on quality, for example the gluing between sole and fabric.
On other clothing, there's a rather commonly used idea to tell your company about defects (stains, marks or even holes) produced when washing up the clothing ^^

Good luck, anyways ^^

I think that the best way to do it is via email. They'd require images or maybe a receipt as you can't really have a serial code. You can easily get out of giving a receipt but the images will be tricky. What I do is buy one and then take pictures of that to endlessly SE more and more. Good luck!

I do own these Vans... They've been in the sea, horse shit, mud, and left out in the rain.

Maybe I could clean them up and claim discoloration from wearing them for one day in the sun?

It could work but make sure they still sell them. You don't want to go through the awkward position of explaining why you haven't worn them for 5 years or you haven't claimed for 5 years. (Just an example.)

Not too sure if Amazon would be a good retailer to go for.

The do love their customers, but they can be... difficult.

That could work, or you say it's from wearing them out in the rain for the walk from the bus stop and home (or something like that)

Indeed, but you can always make a PoP from Amazon, and claim directly from the Vans ^^

Spoiler:
Have you ever thought about the Vans logo?
It doesn't say "Vans"; it says "Square root of Answer" o.O

But you have to prove that the purchase was made from your account.

That's interesting...
Square root of answer squared.

SE from CCS and say you never got the item. I've refunded 2 pairs of Nike SB Lunar Oneshot.
