So, would you feel like you have extra strength to use? Or would more strength me exerted than giving a weak push before you got strong?

"Strong" is a very relative word. All I can comment on is the difference between my fitness levels and strength from when I was training to be a black belt in karate (not as cool as it sounds lol) compared to before/long after I'd stopped.
I had more energy (though that's what exercise does for you - so possibly not specific to the "strength" part), I had less aches and hurt myself through pulling muscles less often (again fitness, not just strength) and was able to just do more and lift more. I didn't "feel" different. There was no difference between what it felt like to exert energy, with exception to being surprised I was lifting more/able to do more.
