As i said on other thread....I bought a pricey GPU (>1.2k €) from a computer part site from france (LDLC).
I'd like to DNA it, arrived today.
NO OTP / NO SIGN at delivery. UPS was the courier.
Should i DNA it or do u suggest other method? (I'm not confident in sealed box not only for the weight, around the 1.3 kg, but also because i think none ask for returs a MSRP gpu atm)
If yes, should I start today a conversation with the customer care? (timing is important)...
(another user did a DNA with success, it was a CPU priced at 300-400usd)
Thanks in advance guys.
Are you italian? Does that site ship to Italy? I was looking for a site like that for a GPU (already did amazon so I can't really push it).
Strongly interested in seeing how this attempt will go.
Since it was no OTP and no sign, probably DNA is the best way to go. I think UPS can be a little serious though.
Yes I'm italian and it ships in Italy, it's the site where Nvidia post the FE for the shock drop.
Btw, which could be the problem with UPS? I live in a little town and i think (but I'm not sure) that UPS pay someone for last mile delivery.
I rarely see a ups "truck" in my town....they usually deliver with some anonymous truck....I don't know if this could be relevant
I heard they could come and ask questions as per their protocol for investigations, but on second thought it was in america. Never heard of courier coming to ask questions in europe.
I can say it never happened to me in europe, but I used empty box with them (much lower value item)
The anonymouse truck sounds good. Another link in the chain is another possibility for missing package and plausible deniability.
