In some cases, I believe they still use caning as a form of punishment.

As a very young child, I remember being punished at school by being strapped several times on the palm of the hand.

In my locality, I believe corporal punishment In schools was banned around 30 years ago.

Banning porn isn't a terrible idea. Look at South Korea. They're still thriving, and porn is outright illegal there. It's just the context that this is being used in. Banning porn in response to a rise in rape incidents is not the correct response. Better sexual education, curfew, or a greater police presence would most likely have a greater impact.
