Is PokeMMO worth it? Can you battle each other and shit?

I just finished beating Pokemon Black and was doing the Battle Subway.

Yes, it's definitely worth it, and it's free to play. You can duel with other players online, trade with them, and converse through group chats, etc etc.

If you decide to download and play PokeMMO, let me know. I'll be willing to give you some tips.

I looked into it about a month ago, but never made my decision. Are there a lot of people cheating or do people pretty much catch and train all of their Pokemon? Also, do you only battle people with similar levels and amount of Pokemon in your party?

There's no modifications on PokeMMO, unless you purchase the Donator status for a 10% increase in encountering shines, and a 25% additional EXP bonus for every Pokemon/trainer you battle.

There are, however, bots, which automatically move you through the grass until you encounter a shiny. Afterwards, the bot will automatically catch the shiny for you, without any work needing to be done. Of course, you're going to need to stock up on PokeBalls, and it may take 48 hours to encounter a shiny. Bots are NOT permitted, and if you're caught using one, you'll receive a permanent suspension from accessing your account. You can always request a custom bot from a developer, but most of the time it's not worth it, especially if you've spent months on end catching Pokemon and working on your account.

Furthermore, to answer your second question, you can visit a PokeCenter and head to the second floor to play in a lvl. 50 or a lvl. 100 game, but if you don't want to do that, you can simply find a player in-game, right click on their character and select 'Duel', which if they accept, you will be able to battle them immediately.

As for the servers, no, there is only one server which everyone plays on, however, on this server they are seven/eight channels. Not everyone is on the same channel, so this keeps things organized. Once you open the PokeMMO client, you will automatically be placed in one of the channels, usually the first-third channel. To change the channel that you are on, simply click on the 'Menu' button, click on 'Change Channel' and select one of the eight channels. Channel 1 is the most popular, of course. Sometimes you will visit cities and find hundreds of players.

Wow, thanks Uzi. It's really helpful. It would seem kind of strange to duel someone randomly and they have a full team of 50+ and yours are all level 20. Unless there is something in place to stop that.
