Hello everyone,

I ordered a perfume (Jean Paul Gaultier Elixir) from a Swedish site however I am not sure what method would be best to use. I am thinking of saying the nozzle came loose and lots of perfume spilled and if they request the bottle I either box them or tell them I threw it away. I was also thinking of maybe just boxing the regular return. What would be the best approach?

Smashed bottle is, in my opinion, the easiest and most successful, although you do have to spend £5-£10 on an empty bottle from ebay/Facebook or you can buy a perfume decanting kit and just smash the bottle your perfume comes in and store it in some other plastic perfume spray bottle.

most of the time, for higher value perfumes and cologne, they require images of the smashed bottle. hard to find a way around it if you dont have a physical bottle you can smash urself, or decent photoshop skills.

Tell them you cut yourself when opening the box, hence It was disposed of.

If the perfume is expensive, then it’s worth the hassle of spending 5-10$ for an empty bottle to smash; it shouldn’t even be that hard to find

tried that said its their store policy that they need proof of the broken bottle to issue a replacement or money back
