My pc wasn’t used for about 2 months. I turned it on for the first time (it worked previously) it didn’t show anything on my monitor. I looked on my motherboard and I was getting the white VGA light. I took my GPU out and back in and I got the same thing. I held the two pins down to reset the cmos battery thingy and i still get the same white vga light. I’ve reseated the ram. I even got a replacement graphics card under warranty and I still get the white vga. I’ve been told to remove the cmos battery but That still did the same. I’m really stuck now.

Please if anyone can suggest anything I’ll be forever great full.

Are you sure the PCIe slot for your GPU is clean? A VGA light indicates that there's something wrong with your GPU. I would know because I have an Asus motherboard. If your PCIe slot is clean, meaning there's no dust or grime in the slot, that could mean your 2080 is dead. 2 months is a long enough period for something to go wrong within the GPU. If you have a spare GPU lying around or in another computer, that would be your next best bet. If you don't you could always order a cheap card like a GT 710 and send it back when you're done troubleshooting.

So you have tried more than one GPU in the machine? The likely-hood that both GPUs are dead is very slim. Do you have another machine to try the GPU in?

Yes I tried two gpus both exactly the same. I got it replaced under warranty. Trouble is it’s a mini itx board. So I can’t just use a different slot. Starting to think it could be the motherboard

Its a real possibility. I however suggest you try the GPU in a different PC and see if it works. You need to eliminate other possibilities.
