PSA: Peak Design ignoring PayPal disputes 08-01-2022, 06:34 PM

A novice SEer recently ordered a packing cube from Peak Design via PayPal weighing 144g. Not realising how slow PayPal refunds are, he went ahead an initiated an empty box dispute with PayPal (the box was stuffed with packing paper, how strange) and got his refund twenty (20) days after his initial order; but during that time, the company was completely silent.
A few days later, while in a state of diminished capacity, he ordered approximately 2kg of items from Peak Design. When it arrived, he claimed empty box, using the branded packing paper he had in a smaller cardboard box, with one or two other flourishes, just in case a human looked at his case. Twenty (20) days later, he once again had his silent refund, settled in his favour by default.
It seems like the company is just not checking its PayPal emails at the moment. There are probably quicker and more profitable SEs out there, but I thought I'd share this story.
