PEB DHL question #1
I have an ongoing SE with a designer retailer. They use third party warehouse to ship their items. I ordered two T-shirt’s from them and claimed only one arrived. They are investigating into this and this has been ongoing for some weeks now. I called earlier to chase and the rep on the phone told me they are cross checking dispatched and shipped weights with DHL. The T-shirt weighed 180g. However the parcel exactly as it was sent to me minus the T-shirt I am trying to SE weighs 0.515kg and on the DHL label it states the parcel weight as 0.5kg. Does this work in my favour? @mothered what’s your opinion

Quote:The T-shirt weighed 180g.
It's too heavy for the missing Item method.

It doesn't make sense.

The package without the T-shirt weighs 515 grams, and the full shipment from DHL Is listed as 500 grams. Where did you get the former weight from?

when the company I purchased the T-shirt’s from sent the parcel to me the weight on the DHL label states 0.5kg (this is with 2 T-shirt’s inside). I removed the T-shirt I wanted to SE and re-weighed the parcel. It weighed 0.515kg. Does that make more sense? s it possible that the company underweighted the parcel? @mothered

You've removed one T-shirt, and It weighs 515 grams - that's 15 grams more with one T-shirt removed.

No.

No.
The parcel with 2 T-shirt’s weighs around 0.7kg. However, when it has been weighed by the company sending it to me. They have weighed the parcel at 0.5kg not 0.7kg which is it’s actual weight. The DHL label on the package I received states the parcel with both T-shirt’s enclosed weighed 0.5kg. My thinking is that the company I’m trying to SE have weighed the parcel incorrectly at 0.5kg not 0.7kg. I then removed a T-shirt and the weight is 0.5kg. The same weight that was on the DHL label. @mothered

This has added to the confusion of everything you've said.

You didn't mention anything about 0.7Kg (I have no Idea where that came from), hence my post Is based on the details you've provided.

You've actually said this In your previous post:

Please conclusively clarify the weights with a simplified breakdown.

RE: PEB DHL question #7
@mothered apologies, I can see how this is confusing.

Actual weight of the parcel with 2 t-shirts included - 0.7kg
Weight which is stated on the DHL shipping label on the parcel delivered to me and the returns label included in the parcel - 0.5kg
Parcel weight with 1 t-shirt included - 0.515kg

My thinking is that the company I am trying to SE hasn’t weighed the parcel at 0.7kg which is it’s actual weight. In fact they have weighed and shipped it at 0.5kg rather than 0.7kg.

I don't know if this can be applied to your current situation, but in my experience DHL hasn't put the actual weight of a package on any lable before. There are always some kind of "steps" that come close to the real weight.
e.g. 715g package -> 0,5kg on the label
1,2kg package -> 1kg on the label
...

That's just my experience. When they start an investigation where they check the weight of the package, then they'll see the real weight, hence the 715g.

The weight listed on the shipping label, Is not always a representation of the one recorded Internally at the carrier's depot -the figure Is sometimes Incremented, then rounded up/down and printed thereafter.

That aside, where does your SE currently stand?

Ahh right okay understood. And still waiting to hear back from the company. I plan to call again chasing tomorrow claiming I’m tight for money and this is causing stress etc.
