Do you watch shows set in more traditional times in Japan?
There's such a range of stories from ancient historical myths to futuristic space battles in anime. I seem to hear more about the futuristic rather than those set in the past.

One show that has such a lovely traditional feel to it is Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto. Even the soundtrack is made from traditional Japanese instruments. However, it still features things like the supernatural.
