What pairs well with a demon-themed series about a part-demon man fighting to save humanity? A whiskey of the same name might. Testing that theory, Shogakukan's Otona no Ippin online shop is offering special Invergordon 1972 whiskey with a Devilman label.
Whiskey critic Hideo Yamaoka selected the single grain whiskey to honor Go Nagai's Devilman manga, which launched in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 1972. The product celebrates the 50th anniversary of Nagai's debut. The Invergordon 1972 whiskey was aged for 44 years at a distillery in the port town of Invergordon in Highland, Scotland. Those of you of age to drink in whatever nation you reside - I thought you might find this interesting! Reminds me of the Tentacle Grape soda drink on sale! But an alcoholic kind! However, Tentacle Grape is afforadable - This stuff was brewed in Scotland for 44 years, with only 252 available for sale (already sold out apparently), at approximately $260 apiece. Impressive stuff.
