And hey, he actually got selected for the Olympics. Yes it sucks, but how many people can say they broke their leg at the olympics?

Hey, maybe he can participate in the Paralympics or something. Not sure about your question though. It's terrible and all, but there's not much to be done other than for him to mope about it for a few months/years.
