RE: OFM sealed box method #21
Reason for return was genuine "Delayed Delivery"
The delivery was actually late by one day, also there was Auto email from Amazon apologizing for the delay..

I think the courier must have opened Amazon sealed packet from me & put the sealed phone's box in his Amazon return envelope. I can't be 100% sure, I've seen him being fussy when people don't return the item in his original box, a lady next door was trying to return a toy car without a manufacturing box & He was fussy.

I am positive that Amazon & it's associates have read these or other Reddit forums. Their policies don't make sense, other competitors' e-commerce websites here always return the incorrect or damaged items back to buyer

It could be anything, maybe those two LPND stickers, Maybe coz item was collected back from me within 20hrs of receiving it, may be it was because the item was very expensive, maybe because 2-3 weeks ago, there was a news in a local paper that a person received a sealed iPhone 13 Pro from Amazon & it was fake, so He obviously complained to Amazon & made so much noise to get refunded that it came in newspaper. I can't be sure what triggered them to open & check & no I don't think they have an x-ray machine to see clearly inside or they take the manufacturer's help to reseal it..

I am thinking to buy an expensive item & return it unopened & legit and put a tiny secret pen camera to see & hear what happens during the return, a friend of mine has a tiny pen with an almost impossible-to-see camera inside the pen clip. I'm just kidding, but just imagine if anyone does this. Tongue

I have been asking for IMEI , so local Police can track it, and also asked for photos of what they received. Tongue

Given they've received It and It's no longer In your hands, how are you supposed to provide photos?

I asked them for photos, not to provide them. I'm just acting dumb and pressure tactics. Should I ask for the item back? or will that be a red flag? I don't know if they are aware of the laws here, they know that without IMEI I can't report any smartphone stolen, police stations here have a special system for stolen smartphones. Has Amazon ever returned ''incorrect item '' back? I read somewhere that a person mistakenly returned an incorrect Macbook air & they destroyed it.

How would you even get the camera back to check the footage anyway?
Just take the loss, no point in going on since it seems like they're not gonna re-evaluate your case, most likely they unseal, check and reseal every expensive item now, you would've probably had more luck trying the EB method instead, or trying with cheaper items at first

I read about a case where they have, but the person sent a legit model with the wrong serial number by accident. In his case though, I doubt they'll have any sympathy. I agree though, take the loss or return it.

I'll just continue to hammer them with emails, I've nothing to lose, I used a virtual card and a locker, so I don't care if they close my account. It was my first purchase.

can you suggest any more email addresses besides ofm and jeff?

Virtual card has a fake billing address? I've been looking for one that allows that.
Tell me where you're located and I'll send you an email to reach out to.
I'm not familiar with the 1200(Dhs) you were referring to in OP
