Nintendo's Profits Increased Over 400% #1
Nintendo has done an excellent job keeping people entertained during the pandemic. I'm sure Animal Crossing is also responsible for this.

Quote:During the three month period from April to June 2020, Nintendo’s operating profits increased by 427.7 percent.

In its latest financial earnings statement, Nintendo revealed its year-on-year sales increased by 108.1 percent, while the company’s net profit is up 541.3 percent.

This is insane! Would be really interested in seeing the revenue of Steam.

Animal Crossing outsold the GameCube as well which is insane. I've always thought Nintendo justified their prices for their consoles because they're great but the fact they still charge $60/retail price for games that are years old is mad. Makes me feel sad for the parents of kids who have to spend hella money just to get their kids a few games to play.

In my view, they're looking after their profits more than anything else.

They've played It smart, by taking advantage of the fact that people will be using their products and services a lot more during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Animal crossing could not have come out at a better time. I'm not surprised if I'm honest.

I was planning on finally buying a Nintendo Switch for Animal Crossing almost exclusively this year and was initially planning on getting it early summer. That all changed when the pandemic hit and the price of Switch's skyrocketed along with AC coming out.

I'm thinking I'm just going to wait now until the new Nintendo Switch "Pro" comes out next year.
