It's perfectly normal to open Investigations for claims of missing packages, so there's no cause for concern.

I’m not too sure on what to do now… today DPD has contacted me regarding my Nike parcel saying how they will contact the DPD driver and retrace the parcel. I’m not too sure on what to do now, will they come to my house?

There will be no need to answer if someone will knock on your door about it, they shouldn’t even do that. Have a look on mothered blog to find more details about this issue

Can't say for sure.

If the driver does happen to visit your home, you're not obligated to answer his questions and concerns, so simply Ignore him.
