I've been floating around here checking things out for a while and I haven't posted an introduction just yet.

Edit: I took my intro post and expanded upon it for my bio and made this look empty so I copy and pasted it here as well.

I started to learn how to program back way back at age 7 on a Commodore64. My father introduced me to debuggers and showed me how game hacking works. I was filled with so much amazement that I can take what I see in front of me and change it beyond just a simple change of words that I had to learn more. I started out with BASIC and then ran out of resources at the local library. I started using the C64 to dial in to a University CS BBS on it's 300 baud modem. I was able to ask questions and learn more and nobody ever said I was just a kid, they didn't know. I picked up a few more numbers to local BBS and the thirst for knowledge got out of hand. I got in trouble for how high the phone bill was from the BBS and picked up a little bit of phreaking. I stole what I needed from my dad to get the boxes built. Never had a problem with the phone bill since.

So, all in all I've been programming ~17 years. Mostly procedural style programming until fairly recently. I knew of OOP for a long time and understood it, I just didn't understand it's power until recently. I just started a blog mainly to write technical tutorials. Mostly everything I post here will be my original content. I myself understand the time and effort put in to articles, code, programs... And I would hate for someone to try to pass it off as their own. That being said knowledge needs to be free. If I know of something relevant, or come across something useful. I will share it if I feel that it can be useful, giving the proper credit where it is due.

I am old school and I'm not a fan of the new age. I feel a lot of the new age is a bunch of pricks who gather up everyone else's work slap it together and put their name on it. If that is something that you do, I will call you out on it.

Feel free to try to stump me; I'm always up for a challenge.

All that being said, on to what I do... I am self employed as a private consultant who specializes in two obscurely distant areas. I focus in web development and hardware reverse engineering. I guess it could have been a little further off such as network security and chef... but I do that in the Marine Corps. Semper Fi.
