I didn't want to end up fat. As a kid I always did sports (football and then Muay Thai). I was in a very good condition as kid but became fat as teenager (Age 16~18).
For me that was motivation that I needed. I began serious lifting and saw my body change. Since then I became addicted. Working out 3 times a week, eating healthy and good sleep is what is important. I can't imagine a life without working out. When at work or college I can't wait to work out again. When working out I am able to clear my mind and simply feel good. Looking back I haven't drinked alcohol for 6 months and am a huge change. I'll see if I can post some good pictures sometime.
The thing is though if you looked up your BMI now you'd likely be obese lol, considering muscle is considerably more dense and so heaver than fat.....
BMI is OK to use a guide but not something I'd rely on.
