2 days ago I had some booting problem with Windows 7. It didn't get past to even the window's welcoming screen even in safe mode. So I tried to reinstall it, and it showed up blue screen of death and restarted everytime at the same position. Finally I borrowed a live disc of Fedora from a friend and emptied my drives and installed this linux version instead (I guess it wasn't a smart move on my part). I'm not very good with using linux. So I started having troubles and it seemed like nothing was working there (like songs won't play, music won't play, files won't get installed, wifi won't detect any connection etc.). So I tried to switch back to Windows 7. I tried installing it, but it showed that it can't install in that drive because its format cannot be recognized. It wanted NTFS format and I think I had formatted it in FAT32. So I tried to format it again. But the disc cannot format it since it says its 'write protected'.. I don't know what to do now and how to get windows 7 back. I think I'm losing my mind because of this.. Please tell me what I should do now. Thank you.

Hey mate i suggest to you switch back to the Linux
maybe dual boot , i will grant you more facilities than windows ,
for a pen-test and like work , sure i am suggesting BT , "

and for solution what about reformat with linux and give NTFS format , then again install windows ?

I had installed that VLC. It says some plug in is missing, tries to search for it and says that its not found. Same thing is shown with the inbuilt players.. Do we need to install some drivers especially for linux?
Should I remove fedora and install some other distro? I had used backtrack for some days in virtual machine before..

as for a new user (me too) , um suggesting don't delete the Linux , until you are familiar with it install windows and linux dual boot ,

for play the Media files try these code with installing plugins

Thanks.. I'll surely try that.. By the way can you guess why it doesn't detect the wireless wifi connection? I can't access internet because of that from my computer (I'm using a phone right now)..

hey u speaking like me ,same condition in front of me 5 year before, that time i had used RED HAT server version.

but i had got solution by myself ,.............me again bootup the system by RED HAT disk and again format my drive by NTFS format and install WIndows successfully.

But after that i hv fall in luv of linux and made hand work on.............

BackTrack 3 ,4 5, R1 , R2

and many more.

hey download and install a wireless manager adapter and access ur wi-fi by that, u must see my Backtrack startup thread for connecting with wi-fi.

Ok.. I'm not so fond of windows anymore, so I got ubuntu installed in my machine. It looks cool and is easier than fedora.
Any more suggestions about what else I should use or add beside ubuntu?
