Need help on Flannels UK SE #1
I'm planning to SE an order that's valued at £217 from Flannels but i've heard they can be a bitch to work with. I was planning to buy 2 things and use the 'missing item' method but apparently they have CCTV footage of them packaging it so i'm not gonna risk using that method. I think the DNA method is the best to use for this order as i'm gonna use a clean address and with the shipping company being DPD (i think) there shouldn't be any problems there. I'm thinking of using the 'this was a gift for my brother' excuse.

I'm still unsure as to SEing Flannels cos everytime I see a thread about them they look like they're hard to work with so please offer advice to an SEing noob Smile

Also, as a backup plan for if they do not refund me I might use paypal as a payment method and open a dispute with them.

Do they take pictures now? Cos last time I SE'd using DNA with DPD the investigation was that they confirmed that the van location was where it was meant to be confirming that the driver did deliver the parcel but I still kept up with my claim and got a refund.

Anyway, I bit the bullet with this SE I'll post any updates with how it goes since I can barely find any Flannels SEs here.

First and foremost, how much does the Item weigh? When using the "missing Item" method, the weight Is of the utmost Importance.

CCTV Is of no relevance when you formulate your method effectively. If It's light enough, the package was tampered with during transit, hence you didn't receive the Item.

Update: SE attempt was a failure as soon as I sent a request for it, a day later the same delivery driver from DPD that delivered my item and gave it to the family member who answered the door, came around asking them to confirm if the package really didn't arrive. Wouldn't make sense to continue it as even if it succeeded it would only blame the delivery driver possibly leading to him getting fired so I just used the 'family member hid it from me as it was a gift' excuse.

The Item weighed like 0.5kg as it was just a top. Harder to use the missing item method the more it weighs right?

500 grams Is a little too heavy for the missing Item method.

When opting for this method, the weight Is of the utmost Importance.
