I was wondering of you could help me out finding some good tutorials on VB.NET GDI+
I know how to code VB Applications but have never studied GDI in vb.But I wanna play with it.

I want to make games after learning GDI and also design pretty forms as well as themes. But truly I am not good in GDI, I only know the most basic things , so I wanted some good links for learning GDI better.

Here are some of my old projects made with Graphics.

Making a Custom Button easily
2D Graphics - color-changing, fading loading
Customizing MenuStrip to Display Buttons on Hover
Custom Aero - Translucent Form with Opaque controls
VB-Net-DrawProgress-Function

Please keep in mind, that these are old threads i.e. my days of learning. So I can't say these have the best ways to do things.
I would suggest you to switch to WPF while you can. It's too late for me I guess. I'm just a casual programmer.

I don't have the magnifier anymore. But the basic code is in that thread.

Not the way I would do it myself or recommend. Plus you're just drawing over the button there...

1. CheckForIllegalCrossThreadCalls = False
2. No point in threading anyways
3. You're using assigned event handlers
4. Empty try catch block for exceptions

And you also haven't been keen on disposing of the objects used to draw for creating a new instance everytime.

Yeah, old thread. I had problems in disposing objects, so I acted lazy.

I lost some of my good projects I worked hard on unfortunately, otherwise I would've loved some solutions for the problems I was facing.
We didn't have many programmers back in the days.
