Microsoft Windows BitLocker Recovery Key #1
Whenever we go through the process of encrypting a drive/storage with Windows BitLocker, there is always the prompt to save the BitLocker Recovery Key to another storage in case you forget your password. Let's say that one day, that device holding the Recovery Key got corrupted and you cannot recover it. You may know the password now but there's times where you may forget. So you should do this while you have the chance.

Here's how to make another BitLocker Recovery Key.

The BitLocker encrypted drive has to be unlocked first.

Run the command prompt as Administrator and enter the following.

Code:
manage-bde -protectors <drive letter that is BitLocker encrypted> -get > BitLockerRecoveryKey.txt
Code:
Example: manage-bde -protectors c: -get > BitlockerRecoverykey.txt

The BitLocker Recover Key will be saved to this location:
Code:
C:\Windows\System32\BitlockerRecoverykey.txt

Enjoy.

Or you can simply navigate to Control Panel, select the native option and back It up thereafter:

Nonetheless, I love using the CLI, so thanks for the tutorial.

Thank you for the addition. I personally prefer using the CLI since it's faster for me and thought this would be beneficial to those who use CLI.

You're always welcome.

Same here, the CLI has always been my preference and always will.
