I'm booting into Backtrack 5 r3 from a live usb, only problem is Metasploit and anything which depends on exploits, such as SET, refuse to run, saying it can't find Metasploit.

I have tried running msfupdate but seem to get an error with it (cant remember off the top of my head, ill get it up here ASAP) also, if I'm booting from live usb, how do I turn networking on?

I tried going through the GUI thing and enabling it but it doesn't work.

Any halp? How will I be l33t haxx0r with no Metasploitz? D: Haha

what is your internet connection ? LAN or USB Modem ?
What is the error showing to you ?

try using SUDO maybe ?

Internet connection is supposed to be going through Lan0, it picks it up, but still no connection, I had it once as a fluke, tried to update Metasploit then and got the error, rebooted and it was gone again. As far as im aware I am root and superuser
