So I've recently turned towards the mecha genre of manga and anime and I was trying to find some high quality mangas/manhwas/animes. I don't want some boring old mecha that plot's driven by fan service. I could really care less about those. I want a really intense plot that really goes places. Yes, yes I've watched Mobile Suit Gundam. And I personally liked it, but it really didn't hit home. Something's missing. There's no dark, underlying plot beneath the main arc that makes me want to watch/read another episode/chapter even though it's already 3 am. Thanks for your time and if you have any recommendations, please comment.

Date A Live isn't all that bad. It's a harem so watch out for that.

Yeah... I've watched a few episodes of Date A Live and it really didn't click with me. I'm not too into harems. Not my scene. But thanks for the recommendation.
