Both are equally effective but In terms of the battery, find out whether It's susceptible to leakage.

I can't find much information on whether the macbook batteries leak or not, but there's numerous reports of them combusting. I'll probably go with the latter, providing a OTP is needed.

You can go with anything that warrants Its disposal.

Yeah, true. How can they possibly demand a return on an item that has combusted and posed a significant health risk?

@mothered Apologies for asking so many questions, but do you think the wrong item (sending a similar item of weight from another account to another address) is better than saying the item combusted upon powering?

The wrong Item received method has a better success rate, and Is less likely to cause complications.

Thanks for the reply, how does it cause less complications? I've held off ordering it, I'm doing more research at the moment.

The wrong Item received Is pretty straightforward - the return Is requested and you have the Item on hand to comply.

The disposed of the faulty Item method, can be an arduous process to convince/manipulate the representative to disregard the return.

Understood. I'll go with the wrong item then, providing I need to give a OTP. Do you have any idea of an item I can use to make my claim? I'm looking at the 14' macbook pro

Good choice under the circumstances.

The item is 1.6kg, so with the box 2.2-2.3kg? I've found another 14'' laptop that weighs 1.46kg, so with the packaging and the bigger power adapter it should be similar in weight?
