Macbook Pro SE #1
Hey guys,

I've never tried to SE many apple products besides an Apple Watch - Just wondering, I've heard of phones being blacklisted (uk), but with a Macbook Pro ( ( is there anything specifically I should be prepared for/be wary of from Amazon?
[UPDATE: I found out "Macs as such cannot be blacklisted. There is no international database for stolen Apple products, so no possible way to know."

It's not sold by Amazon, the merchant is 3rd party..
(or is there a better merchant to do this from?)

I'm planning on using the DNA method, unless anyone thinks I shouldn't use that method for this item

First, everyone here hit Amazon, not third party guys. Do I have to explain why?
Second, Apple products are very much in demand so prepare for double checking from Amazon’s side.
Third, If you live in UK and the courier is UPS, I would focus on ups boxer guy.

Correct.

It's not possible to blacklist the device per se.

Quote:It's not sold by Amazon, the merchant is 3rd party.
Is It an Individual seller, or a company operating on a decent scale?

Will an OTP be required on delivery?

Quote:unless anyone thinks I shouldn't use that method for this item
Alternative methods:
  • The wrong Item received
  • Disposed of the faulty Item
  • Sealed box method

Quote: I do live in apartments, but Amazon delivers the packages to our doors
Under such circumstances, what type of verification Is requested on receipt of goods?

It’s an established company selling on Amazon

I don’t think so, but how would I check? — is there a way to turn this off?

I haven’t had verification for Amazon packages in the past, they just leave the Amazon stuff at our doors, UPS delivers to the deposit boxes that you open with a key that’s left in your mailbox

That would be perfect. Hoping it works out that way. I've heard OTP can be an issue, is there anyway I can disable that? or probably not worth worrying about

When products require an OTP on receipt of goods, there's nothing you can do on your end - It's the company that generates It as per their delivery requirements.

If there's an OTP (and you're usually told so during the checkout process) then the DNA gets infinitely harder and you're better off finding another store or another method

Can iPads be blacklisted? Even a unlocked phone can be black listed? And I was wondering can I order a shipment from the USA meaning Amazon.com and refund it there if I’m in a different country?

Any thing that uses a simcard to connect to the mobile network can be blacklisted, and you won't be able to use the mobile signal
It will still work perfectly on the wifi though
