Macbook Pro 14 Inch Weight #1
Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a specific weight for Macbook Pro 14inch 10CPU? The weight listed on Amazon is only 1.6kg which is the weight of the laptop but not of the whole box. I've literally looked everywhere but there doesn't seem to be any mention of the box. I also know that the 10cpu variant comes with a larger charger(96w) than that of the 8cpu (67w). The reason I'm asking is that I'm looking to SE Amazon using the wrong item method. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A good way for you to know the exact weight of it is to ask a friend/family member to order one to Amazon, to weigh it and then to return it. Also, you can do it yourself by ordering one on an other website (Apple for example), weigh it and then return it.

What wrong item that can match it are you thinking about for your SE ?

Check out this.

There's two different weights, but going by the MacBook at 1.6 Kg and adding only the box and accessories, I'd say the shipping weight Is 2.2kg.

I think I’ve managed to find the weight. I can pm anyone who might be interested.
One last question. Since I own other Apple products would it be unwise of me to link the SE’d laptop to my iCloud, give the SE succeeds in the first place?

I guess you could wait a week or so before doing that, just to give the impression that you bought the laptop from someone and you weren't the one performing the SE, they can't really blame you for buying a used macbook, right?

Hi all. I’ve gone ahead with the SE and I’m expecting the laptop in the following days. I’m a bit stressed because I’ve never SE’d something so expensive before. I’ve come up with a story to try and put on some emotional pressure to the customer service staff. I’ve read as much as possible in this forum and also @mothered website. Is there any final advice before I contact Amazon? Also , should I avoid avoid voice communication and stick to just chat?

Are you still planning on using the wrong Item received method?

If the above method Is used, they'll request the wrong Item be returned hence until they receive It and begin assessing the claim, communications will be at a minimum, so there's no cause for concern.

It depends what you're comfortable and most Importantly, confident with.

Do remember that phone conversations are Instant and anything you've said, cannot be taken back. Chat sessions have a delay In response, therefore It allows a little extra time to think of an appropriate reply.

I tried to get into live chat in order to report the wrong item received and I didn't even talk to a physical employee. The bot just asked me to return the wrong item. Is that standard procedure? Also the wrong item is 100g lighter than the laptop (3.4kg). Should I be worried?

What kind of article is it ? Does it fit in the same box as the one where you received the mac ? The best would have been a maximum of 40g difference between the two articles.

Maybe that you can try to put something like documentation on the box of wrong item to make it heavier if there is no blister, but it can be tricky I guess?
