SE'd the keyboard. It is approved but they want me to send the keyboard first. Has that happened to anyone before?

Multiple SEs with Logitech and they have never wanted the product back. They said they do it for the specific keyboard (G915).

When I was having conversation with the agent they had mentioned that on approval of warranty they will send the new keyboard along with a prepaid shipping label and THEN I have to send the old one in.

What are my options? Do I box them? Looks like they reversed course and asked for defective keyboard first.

Are they asking you to first send the keyboard, or are they offering an AR?

The customer service rep on the phone said they will send the new keyboard with a prepaid shipping label so I can send the defective one back. He did not use the words Advance Replacement and neither did I provide any payment information.

When I got the email for approval though it said you should get an email from Fedex (which I did) with a prepaid shipping label (which also I did). I need to send the keyboard now and once that is delivered they will ship out the new one. Yep, contradictory to what the rep on the phone said.

I could call them back and make an excuse to send the new one first. Or I can box them.

You can do this by saying that you've left the keyboard at your brother's house and due to new restrictions of the COVID-19 situation, you cannot visit him, hence It will need to be posted to you.

Tell them that you urgently need the new keyboard and the moment your old one Is received, you'll send It. It's just one way of manipulating them to first dispatch the new one.

Or I can box them.
