Hey! I'm doing a few SEs at once, and this is another one of them.

I'm trying to SE a Lenovo laptop with the SN method.

I grabbed POP and SN from eBay, talked to customer support and went through all the hurdles.

Finally they offered to repair the computer for me, since it is still under warranty.
However they said that a courier would come to pick it up.
I asked if I could send it myself and they said that option is not available, and that if anything I'd have to bring it myself to a certified repair shop.

So ideally I would try to box them, but given the options that I've been offered, I'm not sure what to do next.
Would it be possible to box the courier that will pick it up?

Also, since they offered to pick it up, I assume they wouldn't have a problem with transporting a leaking battery, in case I decide to go that route.
I could also go with the disposed item method, but I haven't had much success with that one lately in other SEs.

The dimensions of the laptop are: 400x200x3 cm, 2.68 kg.

Thanks in advance!

I wonder if it'd be different if you did the RMA online. Is that what you did? I did that and they called, confirmed it needed repair and they'll ship me a box. Maybe it's because of location. A user did a 3k Lenovo laptop, maybe he'll chime in because I don't think he's in Canada either

Generally with our forum, I figured this went without saying. However, recent discussion has led me to believe otherwise. People are encouraged to read and follow our rules, especially those regarding illegal content. You have been warned - @Oni

Hey! Sorry, no updates on this one.

Customer service gave me two choices: having a courier pick up the laptop at my address, or take it myself to an official repair center.
When I told them that I disposed of the laptop, they refused to offer me further support, as they kept claiming that they needed the laptop.
This went on for weeks until I decided to give it up.

It seems that at least in Spain they don't provide shipping labels, but instead offer to have a courier pick up the product. This has happened with three other companies I tried to SE.
I don't know if it's a legal thing, but it seems to be the case from my experience.

I'm thinking that sealed box method would work better. I cannot attempt it at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to in a few weeks... Perhaps you should give it a try.

Well, I can't to that method since I never had the product in the first place.

Buy the actual product first and then do that.

Yeah, the whole point is that I don't want to buy the product.
Of course I would use a different method if I did.

If you got a scale, maybe buy dry ice to match the weight of the laptop?

Can't you pretend to be someone else, e.g. your brother? You will say that he is not at home asking courier to leave the package.
