To the forum stoners who happen to live in one of the few places where bud is legal, do you purchase is from the dispensaries or do you still resort to black market weed?

I'm still mainly buying from street dealers personally because of how low the prices have gone after legalization. An Oz for $100 is pretty easy to come by, compared to ~$170 legal. How about you guys?

I can't speak from experience. I do have some friends that live in legal areas, and they still purchase it via black market. Their reasons are likely the lower cost, as it isn't taxed the same.

People mainly buy from the blackmarket because its cheaper and are too afraid to buy it in person from dealers but the main thing is that its cheaper.

Yeah usually that's the case, but I'm in college in a really small town so I've just been buying off cheap ass high school kids that I know where they live so that they don't bother trying to punk me lol.

Not sure if you understand this metric, but here in the Netherlands it's around 4$ per gram (Legally, at coffeeshops where they don't charge '"the tourist price"). I've been to the UK where it was 22$ a gram.

Yeah at least this way I don't have to worry about a 6'7 drug dealer mugging me and taking all my money. Downside to this is that the high school kids of course can't afford top quality bud so when I buy from them I never get top quality which is a bit of a let down.

Yeah at least this way I don't have to worry about a 6'7 drug dealer mugging me and taking all my money. Downside to this is that the high school kids of course can't afford top quality bud so when I buy from them I never get top quality which is a bit of a let down.

Better to be safe than sorry. That said, you can only get mugged once, before you don't go back.

Normally it's taxation and regulation that's a problem. Many states are realizing they can cash in on legalizing, as people will pay >15% tax. Medical might not be taxed, but I wouldn't know.

Christ $4 a gram is the dream. Currently the going rate around here is $10 a gram street (bulk deals roughly start around 3.5g for ~$25). Legally you'll pay anywhere from $8.50-$14 (+15% in taxes) depending on the quality of the bud. All of those dollars are in Canadian money so it's fairly cheaper when you convert to USD.
