I had a Levono think pad, and it was probably one of the best laptops I've had.

Had an Ideapad. It was pretty awesome. Also have one of the old Thinkpads.

I did have an Asus, but now I own a desktop so, I don't need it.

One other student at my highschool was die-hard trying to convince me Alienware's are underpriced and much better than Levono's. I lost like 50k of my last 100k braincells.

Alienwares being "under-priced?".

Goodness me, to the contrary. If anything, they're an over-priced piece of plastic. On their most expensive lappy, they've taken away the SLI (NVIDIA) and Crossfire (AMD) and the 32GB of ram. At one point, these were standard and Included In the price.

Preach. Apple literally adds $100 to the price if you want 64 gb instead of 16.

All companies sort of do that now. Even Motorola charged a fair amount for the upgrade to 64gb on my phone. I think memory prices are just that high. That's if we're talking about mobile phones. I had an "ok" experience with Alienware, but Apple pretty bad.

I had 2 Alienwares. I'm pretty convinced the hardware they sold me, at the time, wasn't worth much less than I paid. You're paying a lot for the case, proprietary bullshit, and the pretty LEDs. I find Apple is the worst. And Nike is in an entirely different industry.

I'd rather build it myself (laptops included) because then I get a great warranty on the indviidual parts and don't have to send off an entire laptop to get replacements.
