RE: Job Interview! #21
Would you mind updating this thread with the interview process? Such as questions asked and maybe ones that you actually didn't know but will help others here to prepare?

Okay so the interview process was pretty relaxed. I wore a dress top with no tie and dress pants and shoes. I had a clean shave and a fresh haircut (i always struggle deciding what i should wear that's why i added that). I had two interviews the first one was general questions about me and my education. I was asked about the classes i took in college and how they would reflect in my job. I was asked about my biggest strengths. I was asked zero technical questions which surprised me, mostly just about my experience and how it can relate to the job. I stressed how important communication was because i over heard them saying that the old guy didn't communicate well. I also noticed he was a Michigan fan so i told him i was also (which i am). The two questions that made me scramble: Whats your biggest weakness? If you were in your bosses shoes what would you ask to be changed about you. I answered those questions with basically the same answer. I said "My biggest weakness is that i can't focus strictly on one thing, i work best when i have multiple tasks at hand. As more comes to mind ill update this thread or make a new thread.

Appreciate the update. Was your second interview more technical?

no surprisingly, he showed me the server room and where my office would be. He said that we would be changing out some server racks soon. He did have me look at some code, it was like SQL or something i'm not entirely sure, but it was code to query data from an EMR and he asked me if i understood it. I told him what i could read of it and he asked if i could continue it. I said that i would have to do some research but i'm sure i can learn. We have anyone good on here with querying data that could teach me?
