A good method is the exploitation of plugins used on WordPress.
If you want to automate the scan of vulnerable plugins look on Google for "WPScan"
Which means: WordPress Scan.
It's actually available in Kali - The pentesting distro and if you download it, - Because it's Python.
You just need Python installed and its dependencies.
