I tried to SE a £40 product, I thought it's going to be easy, due to the price.
They sent me a prepaid label for Fedex to return it to Germany.
Shipping the defective product back to Germany and then shipping the new product to the customer would cost them more than the price of the actual product.
Are they so desperate to beat SEers?

Just try boxing them, if you live in the us alot can get lost along the way ;D

That is a fair point, boxing is scary for a lot of people though. Wink

Like me, I have never boxed and will probably try to stay away from it. Even though not much can happen, I guess.

Opt for a high value Item of around the same weight and size. The shipping cost will be no different to the £40 Item.

Less shipping costs, you'll significantly benefit.

They originally asked me to return it to the shop I bought it from, so I told them I bought it while on holiday in another country and gave them address of reship company of a different country.
They will probably notice that I shipped from another country if I box them. I'm not even sure if the fedex label is valid on another country.
It was razer goliathus chroma, by the way. Not worth all the hassle for £40.

Probably it raised some flag. Not sure if they can tell through synapse software that this serial number has not been used before with synapse. I got the serial off a box in a shop.
Or maybe the date of purchase I gave them was too close to the manufacture date.

Or they are just stupid and they are willing to lose a lot of money to beat SEers.
