Is Bose really this hard now? #1
I’ve gone through about 3 different identities using all different variations of a serial number to try to get a pair of QC35s. First the guy wanted to charge me for a replacement. That was an instant no. Then I get 2 other people and they both just say the same exact things. I try to get them to do an advanced replacement, but they make it like that’s against their policy or something. No matter how much I keep repeating that I can’t do a regular replacement process, they just keep telling me that’s the only way. Eventually they just say okay we can’t help you. Your case has been noted and you can come back when you decide to ship it. It’s like an hour long process to go through, so it gets pretty tedious. Should I just keep trying until I get lucky with a nice rep? Or is Bose just a waste of time at this point?

Is It against their terms? Have you thoroughly checked?

What SE method did you use, and what have you told them as to why you cannot fulfill their request for a regular replacement?

No I haven’t looked into their terms too much. But going by what the reps say, their policy is apparently very strict.

And to answer your second question, I’m just doing a replacement request type thing. I have a serial number for the headphones so I tell them a reason that they’re broke to try and get an RMA. And I’ve tried all different reasons to try to bypass the return part of the replacement process. Really just anything I can think of that would let them know I need to keep them. The one that I like the best is telling them that I work from home and I can’t afford any time without the headphones.

Bose is very strict in SE-ing that's why not alot of people offered this. If you tell them that the headphone broke, it kinda contradicting your statement that you work from home and cant afford any time without the headphones. Since it is already broke, they will insist that you sending it back to them.

Tried a few times but always require return.

Pretty sure if you try the lighter items, you can box them. @Doofenshmirtz might share some light.

It's of utmost Importance to read the terms, particularly their return policy. You can then prepare your SE based on your research.

This applies to every SE- you need to have a clear understanding of how they operate.

Regarding this, you could probably make a post about what to look for when reading through the terms. I think everyone would appreciate that.
