Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy an iPhone 14 Pro soon, maybe next month, I'd like to get a refund on it if possible, I'm probably buying it at some local retailer, how would you go on about doing it?

As long as It's not Amazon or Apple, use the sealed box method.

Officeworks Is on par with Harvey Norman - they too, tend to check returns.

Opt for JB Hi-Fi or Big W, preferably the latter.

In what capacity do they usually "check returns"? Do they weigh it, or straight up open the box?

Are these stores still able to be exploited using the sealed box method? I'd like to know as I want to try Offi ceworks and Harvey myself.

Either of the two.

They're not set In stone like Apple and Amazon that check sealed box returns, hence they're exploitable to some degree.

Would this depend on the individual store branch or do you happen to know if it is a company wide policy to check the boxes in that specific way (i.e. open the box and check content/weigh.)

I find this incredibly humorous

For the most part, yes.

Along with Apple, they've been doing It for months.

It probably contributed to Amazon's change of policy, but It's hard to say exactly what triggered It.
