Incorrect Item Method Issue #1
Hey guys, doing a refund right now and have to deal with Fedex so i figured i go with wrong item instead of having to deal with FedEx wanting police reports for DNA.

So amazon (not the company im dealing with) lists my items shipping weight at 4.1 pounds. I found a vacuum that is 4.45 pounds that i was gonna use as the incorrect item. Do you guys think this is too much of a weight difference to work? Also found one that was 3.95 pounds. Is it better to go overweight or underweight?

I usually receive packages from UPS and I've noticed that most of the time, they round up the weight on the label. So if the item is 3.95 pounds, it will show as 4 pounds on the label.

I would pick the 3.95 item and fill the box with more filler. Also, I recommend investing on a digital scale because sometimes the weight on Amazon are slightly off. I've only done wrong item with Amazon for a very expensive item and was successful. Good luck!

Always opt for the closest figure In weight, namely (and as @mitchellMTM mentioned) the 3.95 pounds Item.

You can then adjust It accordingly.

You should always go below weight but just by enough because like the user above me stated they round up package weight, but only in the decimal points. Also be sure to check to see if amazon sells the exact vacuum you have, and if it’s fulfilled by amazon so the wrong item method could work ,because both items are in a fulfillment center.

What happened in the end? And what did you go for? Want to know if this was successful or not. Thank you in advance!

Oh yeah, well so what ended up happening was that i learned that amazon incorrectly states item and shipping weight. So when i received the package, i weighed it, went to Walmart, and bought an item of the same weight. there was a .03 pound difference between the original item and the replacement. This method worked well for best buy
