Improving Text - Clipping Mask #1 11-05-2012, 07:16 PM

Very basic tutorial but extremely effective!
Firstly, use the text tool and get a nice font, size and aesthetically pleasing overall text - this will improve the overall sexyness of the design!

Drag in your texture (tutorial soon - although it's very simple) then make sure the texture layer is above your text layer and then right click > clipping mask.

Your layers will now look like this - you can see its a clipping mask as its a little offset than a normal layer and it has the arrow showing it's masked to the layer below.

And here it is, the result of our 20 seconds! Obviously you can spend more time and making it much nicer but this is it.
