Hey, I accidentally broke my friends Toshiba 60 inch tv. I need to get him a new one but I can’t afford it. Do any of you have any experience in refunding a tv? It’ll cost around £300 and I don’t mind whichever website as long as it’s atleast 60 inches and preferably Toshiba

Buy the same one, switch them and claim that it was damaged in transit?

Damaged how? Just the screen? Buy one in store, swap the TV's and return saying it didn't fit your wall. Make sure no damage is able to be viewed when they open the top of the package.
If you don't want to risk them opening it then a lesser chance of them opening it would be to tape the box back neatly. Heat off the tape they used and open the box nicely and replace TV. Seal box back up and claim you didn't even get to hang it on the wall because it looked too big in your house.

Personally, I would develop an attack vector based on the fact that the TV you ordered came already damaged, it is likely that you will be asked to return it, in which case make sure that you have changed all the labels and parts of the TV that have serial numbers on them, this is the method I once used to change a broken monitor to a new one, the main thing is confidence in your story, I wish you good luck in your actions
