How to get image from website without image filename #1
I hope someone here can help me with this. I was stuck here for about 2weeks now and I can't get any progress because i cant get the image from the website. i try other forums like msdn, vbforums and etc. but they don't help me because of the captcha images.

Hi, im trying get image from this website, image source doesn't contain any image filename and i don't know how can i get it to work. What I do is I navigate to the image location using webbrowser and then i have i button that when i click, the picturebox image lication will view the image from website. my code is here

First code
Code:
PictureBox1.ImageLocation = "http://www.protypers.com/work/captcha"

Second code
Code:
PictureBox1.Image = New System.Drawing.Bitmap(New IO.MemoryStream(New System.Net.WebClient().DownloadData("http://www.protypers.com/work/captcha")))

i try both codes but none image appear.

here is the info of the website i was trying to get the image from.

the image name is "captcha". Its being dynamically generated and rewritten to not have a file extension.

It should act like any other image. Just put the URL in. That said, the image will probably change every time you load it.

But im not a VB coder any more. And ive never touched .NET - so i cant help with specifics.

I am not quiet sure but an image location should be something like XXXX.XX(X)/captcha.(image extention)

so try to work with something like that and it should work...

wait I guess this is an uploaded PHP file isn't it?

share us the PHP file and we might know the answer

Not necessarily. images can easily be rewritten on the web not to have an extension. either way i dont think it really matters though, if youre working with images the extension really doesnt make difference.
