How long does it take for Amazon to refund?

Every SE I've done before, they've always been nice enough to send me a refund in advance, so I've never had to wait for a parcel to be scanned at the fulfilment centre - this is the first time I've actually had to wait for a refund.

How long does it usually take for them to scan in a parcel after receiving it? They received it on Monday morning I believe and a customer representative said it can take 2-3 weeks, is that normal?

It would probably take around four or five days to process then however long to process the payment.

Depends what payment method, if it is a gift card, it says it will take between 24-48 hours, but it is usually like 1 or 2.

Credit/Debit takes longer depending on the bank account.

They will process it pretty fast in my experience.

Yeah, for the entire process.

The parcel I sent arrived at the Scottish return centre on the 18th. They're adamant that regardless of when the parcel arrived, the refund won't be processed until the returned item has been scanned in. I'm just wondering how long of a process that is.

It seems a little too long but bear In mind, It's "business days" that they calculate the number of weeks.

As opposed to 21 days In 3 weeks, theirs Is based on 15 days. 5 working days per week multiplied by three, Is 15 days (3 weeks).
